ABOUT THIS SHORT COURSE

This online course provides a detailed and comprehensive insight into all aspects of The International Safety Management (ISM) Code. The course consists of one in-depth module that must be completed within 6 months. Following completion of the course content, there is a multiple-choice exam of 10 questions which must be passed with a score of 70% or above.

Upon completion of the course and the final exam, you are awarded a certificate in ISM code.

Meet the Author

Hugh N. McQuaid

Master Mariner
Hugh is a retired ship Master with sixteen years multi-national command experience in oil tankers from 25,000 dwt to VLCCs.

He is a Lloyds registered External Lead Assessor for both ISO 9002 and ISM Code and a registered OCIMF Inspector.

He held four United Kingdom Pilotage Licences by examination.

Hugh has spent some fifteen years running his own business, with experience in inspection and audit management systems.

He is a long term member of the Royal Institute of Navigation and a member of the Chartered Quality Institute.
