Superyacht Refit


The Diploma in Superyacht Refits was developed following the success of our Diploma in Superyacht New Builds.

This innovative course will provide you with an excellent understanding of each stage of the refit process, which will best prepare you for what to expect whilst in the yard. The course is designed to develop and deepen your refit management skills, enabling you to conduct and complete a refit project with success.

Module subjects include a range of challenging topics such as basic law and contract law, project management and documentation along with other essentials such as change orders, refit process, accountancy and project completion.



The course consists of 10 modules. All students are required to successfully complete and pass the module assignments. Diploma students will also be required to sit and pass a final examination.

Whether this is your first refit project or you already have some experience in this area, studying the Diploma in Superyacht Refit is suitable for captains, senior crew and engineers, lawyers, yacht managers, brokers, refit managers, owners representatives and ship yard employees.

Ian Hornsby

After fifteen years as a worldwide cruising captain, and managing several new builds and refits for private owners, Ian founded Techman in 1998.
Techman Hub-Ware provides software and support to yachts from 30 to 130 metres which is present on board yachts from all of today’s quality shipyards.
