Q1: What is your role within your company?
In my role within Aras Marine Investment Holding and Aras Salvage UK Representative, my primary role is to oversee and manage the crucial aspects of relations and communications. Specifically, I am responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Protection and Indemnity (P&I) clubs, which are integral to our maritime and salvage operations. Additionally, I take charge of cultivating connections with potential customers, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.
Through my role, I work diligently to ensure that our organization maintains open lines of communication with P&I clubs, thereby safeguarding our interests and promoting mutual cooperation. My efforts also extend to identifying and engaging potential clients, where I employ effective communication strategies to articulate the value and capabilities of Aras Salvage UK.
Overall, my responsibilities involve building and nurturing key relationships, both within the P&I community and with prospective customers, to enhance the standing of Aras Marine Investment Holding and Aras Salvage UK Representative within the maritime industry.
Q2: Why did you choose to do this course?
I studied this Diploma to complement my knowledge in shipbuilding and ship repair according to the permanent development in this industry, especially in these times where it is necessary to optimize costs, repair times in dock and adapt to the international rhythm with expert instructors with academic and practical experience.
Q3: What were your course highlights?
The availability of information and the excellent writing of the study material, where you work on practical and real cases, where in order to continue advancing you have to read, investigate, analyze with helicopter vision the different situations and circumstances that arise in the different naval repairs and construction of the immense variety of ships that exist regardless of the purpose for which they were built.
Q4: How do you feel the course will help your career/future progression?
In many ways, one of them is to be up to date with all the rules and regulations that are needed for a safe shipbuilding that fulfills the purpose for which it was designed and built, not neglecting any aspect of the different systems installed on board, no matter how simple it may seem…
Q5: What would be your top tip for future students?
In any case, knowledge does not occupy a place and has no storage cost in our mind so you have to keep up to date with the continuous technological advances used in shipbuilding and ship repair.
For me MTA is one of the best options, as I personally looked for something that would suit my experience as an engineer and having sailed for many years as a CE, participated in design, transformations, repairs and new constructions and always learning something new and having examined many alternatives in Europe I decided for MTA because of the profile of the instructors, their experience in the field, their academic quality and recommendations.
I have worked with very capable and experienced people and the instructors meet my expectations, they have a lot of experience, technical support and an outstanding academic quality.
The assistance and academic support of the support team is of an outstanding level and any doubt that exists, is clarified in the shortest time.
Huge congratulations to Patricio from everyone here at the Maritime Training Academy.
