The Monaco Yacht Show 2026 brought together some of the biggest names, businesses and professionals from across the global superyacht industry and the Maritime Training Academy was delighted to be part of it.
Matt, Keely and Amber headed to the beautiful Port of Hercule last week combining stunning superyachts and beautiful surroundings, it was an experience the team were excited to be part of. The trip took the team from the UK to the French Riviera and, of course, into the heart of the action at the Monaco Yacht Show.
Here’s how the trip unfolded…
Day 1 – Travel and Arrival in Nice
The journey began with meeting Andrea from our training office at Heathrow. After travelling from the UK, the team arrived in Nice. After checking in and settling down, the team took some time to explore the city and enjoy the surroundings. With its palm tree lined streets, blue skies and views across the Mediterranean, Nice was the perfect starting point for the trip.
With the excitement of the yacht show ahead, there was plenty to look forward to, but Day 1 was all about travelling, relaxing and getting ready for the days ahead so the team enjoyed pizzas, cocktails and beers in the heart of Nice.
Day 2 – Arriving at the Monaco Yacht Show
The next morning, the team headed from Nice towards Monaco. The journey itself was a highlight, with amazing views of the Mediterranean coastline on the train journey into the heart of Monaco.
Arriving at the Monaco Yacht Show for 8.30am, the day began! Keely, Amber and Andrea headed to the first meeting of the day the Women in Yachting breakfast which was hosted by Alicia Store at DSNM at Bella Vita restaurant in the center of Monaco.
Matt started the day by exploring Port Hercules and meeting with a number of students, this was Matt’s 8th visit to the show and he was excited to be back! With lots of meetings planned throughout the day it was great to be back.
Stepping into the show was an experience in itself. The harbour was filled with some of the world’s most impressive superyachts, alongside shipyards and marine businesses, it was great to explore.
Matt and Amber took a tender across Port of Hercule taking in the sights. There was an amazing buzz throughout the show, with people from across the global yachting industry coming together to meet, network and discover the latest developments in the world of yachting.
We had a great afternoon at the Döhle Yachts Terrace where caught up with familiar faces such as Russell Stockhill before ending the first day at the Antigua & Barbuda Party which was a great celebration of Caribbean spirit!
The first day was spent taking everything in, meeting people and exploring the show. With so much to see, it was impossible not to be impressed by the scale of the show.
Day 3 – Another Day at the Show
With one day at the Monaco Yacht Show already behind the team, Day 3 gave a chance to explore even more.
One of the best things about attending the show was the opportunity to meet people face-to-face. It was a great chance to catch up with existing contacts, make new connections and gain an insight into what is happening across the industry.
The team then headed to Monte Carlo for an ice cream before it was time to head home. As the day came to an end, we headed back towards Nice, reflecting on what had been a busy and hugely enjoyable few days.
Time to Head Home
Sadly, all good trips have to come to an end and it was time to begin the journey home. Although the team were leaving the sunshine of the French Riviera behind, they were taking plenty of great memories with them.
The Monaco Yacht Show had been an excellent opportunity to experience one of the world’s leading events in the yachting calendar, meet some fantastic people and see first-hand the ideas that continue to shape the industry.
The Team’s thoughts and highlights
Matt’s thoughts and highlights of the show:
”For me, the best part of the Monaco Yacht Show is always catching up with friends and industry contacts. It was great to see so many familiar faces, meet plenty of new people and have some really good conversations along the way. A busy couple of days, but a brilliant show and always great to spend time with the superyacht industry in Monaco.”
Keely’s thoughts and highlights of the show:
”’One of my highlights from the show has to be the ‘Women in Yachting’ Breakfast, hosted by Alicia Store which was in the heart of Monaco. It was lovely to meet so many women from across the industry, as well as catch up with some familiar faces. And, of course, seeing some of the world’s largest and most impressive yachts up close was a huge highlight.”
Amber’s thoughts and highlights of the show:
”This was my first time at the Monaco Yacht Show, so one of my highlights was getting to meet and be introduced to so many new people across the industry. I also really enjoyed the Antigua & Barbuda Party, which was a great way to finish the day!”
Until Next Time, Monaco
From the journey to the excitement of the show itself, this was a trip that combined business, and a little bit of Riviera glamour.
The Monaco Yacht Show never fails to showcase something extraordinary, and this year’s visit was no exception. We’re already looking forward to seeing what the next trip has in store.
Until then, it’s au revoir to Monaco
