Find out more about what Michaela learned from the course and how it has supported her career..
What is your current job role?
”Export Co-Ordinator (I export flowers from South Africa to countries all over the world)”
What were your course highlights?
”The team that put the course together for me, and how helpful everyone was. Especially Keely.”
Do you have any tips for students thinking of studying with us?
”Go for it. And don’t be scared to ask the team for help. And enjoy it, its great content and course.”
How do you think this course help you in your career?
”This course has helped my career in terms of understanding what could go wrong in a shipment, the aftermath, and how to deal with it.
I export flowers from South Africa all around the world, and it requires a very strict cold chain supply. Even though I only deal with air freight, learning about sea freight and the port surveying that goes into it was very insightful to my job, and how to better deal and understand shipments that go array with temp control issues, or logistic issues.
It made me understand how I can look at putting in different claims when things go wrong, and how to approach it and what questions to ask.”
Would you recommend MTA to others? Why?
”Absolutely yes. It’s a great platform, and great course content, and easy to navigate. Content was great and insightful. Communication and admin help from the team was great.”
Michaela’s experience is a fantastic example of how competitions and professional development opportunities can help students build their knowledge, gain valuable industry insight and develop skills that can be applied directly to their careers.
Her experience also highlights the value of continuing professional development, even when a course covers an area outside of someone’s day-to-day role.
Congratulations to Michaela on this well-deserved achievement, and thank you for sharing your experience with us. We look forward to seeing where your continued learning takes you!
