We’re excited to be welcoming Tom Kaprallos to the Maritime Training Academy team as our latest Account Manager and asked if he would like to tell us a little about himself…

“I was born in one of the leading maritime countries in the world, Greece and you could say that shipping is in my blood. I have dedicated myself to a career in the Maritime Sector, having studied Shipping Management and a MSc in Ship and Shipping Management from Southampton Solent University.

Building on my shipping foundations, I started my career in a small ship brokering and management company based in Athens. Recognising the importance of continuous career development, I studied for the Hellenic Shipbroker Association certification. This opened further career opportunities for me, working for a commodity trading company and as a Maritime Business Consultant here in the UK.

I am delighted on my recent appointment as Account Manager at Maritime Training Academy. I have always recognised the importance of training and continuous progression in your chosen profession. I have identified the expertise offered in the broad range of Diplomas at MTA, and am proud to be associated with these quality training courses, to both new and established professionals. I believe that my industry knowledge and experience will form a great working relationship with our students from all around the world.

I am looking forward to establishing new industry connections and forming long lasting partnerships with one of the industry’s leading maritime training providers. I truly excited to be part of such a rapidly growing team.”
